Movies vs Real Life

Ever watched a movie and thought to yourself.
"Man this wouldn't happen in real life"
That's what we all think all the time.

Our video shows our perspective of how a scene would really take place in real life. In this case its a parody of the Phone Booth scene in "Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol" 2011.

As a group, we discussed on what our vlog would be about. The first idea that came to mind was just the five of us sitting in a room talking about either our favourite movie or review a movie but that wouldn't of been very entertaining.
So we decided to parody a scene from a movie and give our perspective of what would really happen in that scene if it were to happen in real life.

We each had a different part in planning the video. It took us a couple of days to come up with an idea. So Kam and Ria went location scouting to find a empty area similar to the scene in the movie but we couldnt find a phone booth in an isolated area.
Mushtaqali, Olivia and Khenn took some time to plan and storyboard ideas so it would be easier to film.

The camera work was done by Khenn and Olivia using an iPhone 6S
Mushtaqali played the role of  Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise)
Kam and Ria played the role of "Agent Dunn and Agent Carter"
Khenn and Olivia made their "director cameo appearance" in the real life segment.

The video was edited by Khenn with his experience in film making and videography.

We hope you enjoyed reading our blog and our video

Dont breathe review

Dont breathe is a thriller movie and its about there are few kids they wanted money so badly wif their own reasons. So they always go and rob other's house and something. One time they did the robbing as usual but this time the house owner was a well-trained soldier but he was blind. However, he could also killed one of the kids and he kept searching for the rest but they were trying to escape. This movie is kinda intense and excited to watch. However the ending was kinda easy to guess and its too predictable. However its good to watch if you are bored.

It is impossible to talk about Stranger Things, the eight-episodes Netflix sci-fi drama series released last month, without talking about all the 80's references, such as the J.J. Abrams film Super 8, Stanger Things is an homage to all things Spielbergian broken families, kids having secret adventures on bikes, supernatural beings, government consiparies, heartfelt endings.
the story focuses on the mysterious disappearance of a young boy named Will, the search effort that ensues (led by his mother, played by Winona Ryder), and the arrival of an odd young girl with stranger powers. in the hands of its directors, the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things is turns out touching the it explores teenage love and friendship and harrowing when it follows the creature that turns out to be terrorising the town.
in the first season of Stranger Things, we all can know that on November 6, 1983 in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, 12 years old Will Byers vanishes mysteriously. Will's mother, Joyce, becomes frantic and tries to find Will while Police Chief Jim Hopper begins investigating, and so do Will's friends; Dustin, Mike, and Lucas. the very next day, a psychokinetic girl named Eleven knowing Will's whereabouts is found by the boys. as they uncover the truth, a sinister government agency tries to cover it up, while a more insidious force lurks just below the surface.

based on personal experience, you can't stop watch this movie once you started. So, i highly recommend you guys to watch this film. Just click here to find out the reason why you SHOULD watch this movie series
i personally will give this movie series a 9.5/10
Looking forward for the season 2 which will released in 2017!!

Nerve

Note : a quick piece advise to anyone planning to watch: don't watch the trailers above, as they pretty much spoil the entire flick.

"Nerve" is a lot like high school: The jocks and pretty people have all the fun before eventually being bailed out of trouble by the nerds who were ceremoniously not included. The nerd in question is here Tommy (Miles Heizer), a computer guy who pines leading lady Vee Delmonico (Emma Roberts). Vee is blonde, beautiful and has just been accepted into CalArts. There's no way in cinematic hell-or actual Hell-that she'd wind up in Tommy's arms. Yet it's Tommy to the rescue when Vee gets herself involved in a sinister smartphone game whose online ringmaster sounds suspiciously like Stephen Hawking

After i watched this movie, it reminds me of another Dave Franco movie, Now You See Me from 2013. It was a low budget movie that came out of nowhere and actually ended up surprising a lot of people. Just like that movie, Nerve isn't perfect. The ending is rushed, and the more you think about it, the less sense it makes. But overall the flick is very entertaining, the cast is great, and it's a fun watch to everyone

I was thinking to give this movie 8 out of 10. But my eyes... they didn't even blink when I saw Dave Franco there.
I mean.... Look at those smile

So, i ended up give this movie 9/10.

Dragonball: Evolution??????????

Say again?
Dragonball: Evolution (2009)
Yeah that's right, that live action movie that turned out to be horrible.
Let me explain why.

Seems interesting right?
Well yes it is because this movie is based off my all time favourite anime "Dragon Ball Z".
I was about 11 years old when I watched this movie and back then I was just in it for the action.
But now as a videographer myself, I see why this was one of the worst rated movies of the time.
I could write so many things about what made this movie bad.
But first!
The Positives:
  1. Jamie Chung!<33333333333333333 (The actress who played Chi Chi in the movie)
Alright now to the negatives
  1. The story was all over the place: The synopsis above is basically what the movie is about however, there are plot holes everywhere. The story didnt make sense and there was no lead up to the main point of the story.
  2. Character development: There was no character development whatsoever  other than Goku (the main character). But everyone else was thrown in to the movie and expected the audience to know who they were.
  3. Usually I dont consider CGI when reviewing movies but oh my the CGI!
For a movie that was released in 2009 id expect the CG to be somewhat believable.
Example: Dragon Ball Evolution (2009) vs Transformers (2007)

Final Verdict:
2/10 :) :) :):) :)

Descendants of the Sun

Do you consider yourself as a K-Poppers ?

Well, this move is the one you don't wanna missed

"Descendants of The Sun"

This movie originated from South Korea directed by Lee Eung-bok Baek Sang-hoon and starring Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, Jin Goo and Kim Ji-won
well, it took me a while to write those name...

As you guys can see, i wasn't familiar with all the k-drama things until one time I discovered a short clips from this movie on Facebook which got my attention and had me interested to watch the rest of it.

This movie is about a love story develops between Captain Yoo Shi Jin (Song Joong-ki) from South Korean Special Forces and Doctor Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye-kyo), who works as a Surgeon at Haesung Hospital in Seoul. They will find themselves in the middle of great events and deadly dangers, both in their Motherland and in the fictitious, war-torn country of Urk (Uruk).

This was the first k-drama I watched in my entire life and I am not regretting it even though I had a sleepless night trying to catch up with the episodes but I love every episodes of it.

This is one of the funniest episode from the movie.
I hope there'll be a season 2 of this movie.

Interstellar review! (One of my BEST)

HELLO EVERYONE!! Its me Mushtaq back with an amazing movieee!

http://screenrant.com/movie-secrets-famous-shots-scenes-never-knew/

Just another random day while hanging out with friends at a friend's house when we all decided to watch a movie. After a lot of arguments and continual discussions we agreed on watching Interstellar. Best. Decision. Ever. The movie turned out to be awesome! The storyline was amazing (no spoilers ahead) and since all of us are studying physics it was even more fascinating to watch all the principles we learn about come to life. (yes I know it's fictional but it was good) My friend later revealed that Christopher Nolan (the director) doesn’t like using CGI in all of his famous movies such as Batman and Inception, but for this particular movie, even after minimal use, he was forced to use CGI. He did a damn good job of it too!! But honestly some of the scenes had one of the best acting cast. Such as this scene;

Suicide Squad review

Hello everyone. Its Zac here doing the movie review.
Image result for suicide squad
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/CmRih_VtVAs/

Since my friends and I are kinda like big fans of superheros so we went to see this movie. This movie is kinda funny cause the reason why the government would like to form this group of super villain together is because of superman. They wanted to used some bad guys to prevent a good guy attack them that was so ridiculous. In this movie there were lots of action scenes and lots of characters inside this movie. However, to be honest i dont really like this joker i like the one in the dark knight movie more. That one acts more crazy more like a real joker. So if you like super hero movies i would recommand you to watch this one. But if your just okay wif the superhero movie then you better find another one to watch.

Ides of March (One of the worse movies ever!?)

HEY GUYS! I'M BACK WITH A 'STAY AWAY & DONT WATCH ME' MOVIE.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ides_of_March_(film)
While helping my friend with his HSC work, I was forced to watch a movie called Ides of March, a political fiction. It was an interesting movie in terms of the people shown in it but to be honest, I fell asleep while watching because of how slow the story was. George Clooney and Ryan Gosling might be the only reason why the movie even played in the cinemas. It was so tiring watching the continuous conflict and the emotional stress. The only good thing about the movie was the PEOPLE ACTING IN IT and the way it relates to the current situation in America with the elections coming up. Ryan Gosling’s character Ethan is shown going through a lot of professional and emotional problems due to the competitive world of politics, which to be completely honest, was one of the most uninspiring transitions, marking a movie with a unsatisfying ending and no bits that would actually get the audience involved as the great ones do. Overall, a total bust.

Rating: 4/10
Would I watch it again? Oh Hell No!
Would I recommend it to others? Please don't. Proceed only if really really bored and have no life. :)

Let Hope Rise

Let Hope Rise

some of you guys might havent heard about it, but im pretty sure most of u well-known about Hillsong. Am i right? :D

Guess what? i watched it on last Thursday, 6 October 2016 which was the first day of their release. And yes, i am that excited!

picture from: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BMTY2ODgwMDY4N15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMzgwMzc0OTE@._V1_UX182_CR0,0,182,268_AL_.jpg

Let Hope Rise is the first movie based on Christian documentary film of Hillsong Church directed by Michael John Warren.
it captures the on-stage energy and off-stage hearts of the Hillsong United. basically Let Hope Rise cannot be called as a movie. Let's say it is a new motion picture genre: Theatrical worship experience.

The music of Hillsong Church is estimated to be sung by over than '50 million churchgoers around the world!' (what a massive amount.....)

Zootopia

"In a city of anthropomorphic animals, a rookie bunny cop and a cynical con artist fox must work together to uncover a conspiracy."
Hey everyone!
It's me Ken!

What will I be reviewing today?
None other than 1 of the 3 movies released in 2016 I've seen so far and the movie mentioned in the title of this post Zootopia!

Zootopia is an animated film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. From the biggest elephant to the tiniest shrew, the city of Zootopia is a beautiful metropolis where all animals live peacefully with one another. Determined to prove her worth, Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) becomes the first official bunny cop on the police force. When 14 predator animals go missing, Judy immediately takes the case. Partnering with a smooth talking fox named Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), Judy must piece together all the clues as to where the predators are and who is behind it all.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2948356/

My Two Cents:
In my opinion, this is one of the best animated movies of 2016 (Even better than Finding Dory to be honest. Dont tell hardcore Finding Nemo fans! ). One reason why I think its one of the best is its amazing story-line and wonderful character development. The character development is one of the best in while.  As Judy Hopps enters Zootopia and its police force, you feel the sense of nervousness as if you are in her shoes. *It kind of reminds me of my first day of uni*. You can see that she has an uplifting and bright personality and isnt afraid to tackle any challenges. When Nick Wilde is introduced, you initially see him in an ice cream store with his so called "son" trying to buy ice cream but is denied. This is when Judy's bright personality comes in and helps them. However Nick Wilde isnt who he seems he is. In fact, he is a smooth and troublesome fox and throughout the movie their relationship grows.
The storyline is just as good. I wont be putting any spoilers of course. But the movie surprises us in many ways and there are multiple plot holes to keep you guessing.
If I were to give it a rating out of ten, a solid 8/10 would be very acceptable.

The Secret Life of Pets

Hi Guys! :)

It's Olivia again here doing another movie review
This blog will be about Pets.
Bet y'all can guess what movie I am referring to.
Yea, it's there guys, in the title "The Secret Life of Pets"

Let's start with a question
Who doesn't love dogs ? <3

Well, from the introduction above, it's already briefly the genre of this movie.

Comedy superstars Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet and Kevin Hart make their animated feature-film debuts in The Secret Life of Pets, which co-starts Elie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy produce the film directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me).

Synopsis: Taking a place in Manhattan apartment building, Max's life as a favourite pet is turned upside down, when his owner brings home a sloppy mongrel named Duke. They have to put their quarrels behind when they find out that an adorable white bunny named Snowball is building an army of abandoned pets determined to take revenge on all happy-owned pets and their owners.

I mean.... Animals are cute but talking, animated animals are even cuter.

In Time (for another movie review)

Hey movie fanatics, I am back with another futuristic movie review.

https://au.pinterest.com/pin/415597871834206529/

An interesting dystopic movie with the intriguing concept of time being used as a currency and the amount of time a person has to live being the currency used by them. The trailers didn’t really seem that interesting when I first saw them taking away all my anticipation for the film itself. However, the concept of time quickly appealed to me and I wanted to watch this film more than ever. Set in a futuristic time but with the same issues of the current world, this film wasn’t up to par in terms of where they could’ve taken the film and the concept, however, it was still a good watch. The use of minimal green screen and editing combined with the emotive acting presented by the actors is what made this film even more realistic and seem as though we could end up in this future. However, the Robin Hood style vibe and story became quite predictable and after the initial introduction to the film, viewers would get quickly bored of the movie and not want to watch it further. It was too fast paced for people to truly relate properly to the main character, Will Salas (Justin Timberlake), even despite his extraordinary acting skills. Overall, a good movie with a good concept but quite dry and causes a loss of interest.

Finding Dory

picture from: http://pixar.wikia.com/wiki/File:Finding_Dory_UK_Poster.jpg

One year after her journey with Nemo, Dory is curious about her past. Unfortunately for her, her memory doesn't offer much help. But, with Nemo and Marlin by her side, she embarks on a  journey to find out her past and her roots. Such as, who are her parents, and where did she learn to speak Whale.
Dory searches the ocean for them, until she forgets what she was looking for. There are other stressful separations between friends too, as well as some peril and tense moments (like predator giant squid the characters need to get away from and action-packed escape antics), as well as slapsticks and near misses.
Eventually and after encountering their fair share of wild experiences, the trio manages to reunited Dory with her family. Dory's story is ultimately uplifting, as is the movie's treatment of her disability, which is never ignored. Finding Dory's themes of teamwork, perseverance, family, friendship, and unconditional love are relatable for even the little kids.

*tip: make sure that you watch till the end of the credits because there is an extra scene featuring friends fro the first film!*

after watching Finding Dory, it reminds me of Ellen Degeneres.
who doesn't love Ellen Degeneres?
and yes, surprisingly Ellen Degeneres and Albert Brooks are set to cross paths with all of the comedic all-starts that makes Finding Dory much more rewarding.

so, i ended up giving this movie 8.5/10 rate.

I just watched the boy this movie few days ago. First, obviously this is a horror movie. Therefore, its better to watch it at the night time. Alrite, so this movie is about the parents wanna hire someone to take care of the child and the main girl character was the chosen one and she takes the job. However, she didnt follow the to do list instruction so there were some strange things happened to her and the doll just did something to freak her out and she just started to find out the story behind the dolls. This movie is kinda fun to watch. There was a plot twist which is good and scary .

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE SERIES!

HEY GUYS! BACK WITH ANOTHER AWESOME MOVIE REVIEW!

http://simonpegg.net/category/posters/

Just when you think there aren’t any new gadgets to invent and this franchise can’t get any better, this franchise proves you completely wrong by presenting another great film with a plot that will have you biting your nails and about to fall off the edge of your seat (nothing wrong with that, just don’t break your hip :P ) This movie series is what made my childhood so much fun, and continues to do that for kids even in this age. The name Ethan Hunt has become so synonymous with Tom Cruise and has become a household name with kids pretending to be him and saying the iconic line “Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is… this message will self-destruct in 3..2..1”.
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol: Phonebooth

Amazing plot along with excellent actors and movie editing is what has made this franchise so successful. The continuous suspense on what will happen to Ethan next and all his interpersonal relationships with the recurring characters from the franchise keeps the audience wanting more and wanting the franchise to never end. It has been running for 20 years now, and hopefully will keep running for a lot longer.
