While helping my friend with his HSC work,
I was forced to watch a movie called Ides of March, a political fiction. It was
an interesting movie in terms of the people shown in it but to be honest, I
fell asleep while watching because of how slow the story was. George Clooney
and Ryan Gosling might be the only reason why the movie even played in the
cinemas. It was so tiring watching the continuous conflict and the emotional
stress. The only good thing about the movie was the PEOPLE ACTING IN IT and the
way it relates to the current situation in America with the elections coming
up. Ryan Gosling’s character Ethan is shown going through a lot of professional
and emotional problems due to the competitive world of politics, which to be
completely honest, was one of the most uninspiring transitions, marking a movie
with a unsatisfying ending and no bits that would actually get the audience
involved as the great ones do. Overall, a total bust.
Rating: 4/10
Would I watch it again? Oh Hell No!
Would I recommend it to others? Please don't. Proceed only if really really bored and have no life. :)
